About our candidate dr. ian symington

Ian Symington is a dedicated community leader and the Conservative candidate for the Riding of Sudbury.

With deep roots in the area, Ian grew up in Copper Cliff and has spent much of his life serving the local community. Before becoming a physician, he was a secondary school teacher in Sudbury, where he developed a profound understanding of the region's needs and challenges.

Ian is married with three children and actively practices medicine in Copper Cliff. He is passionate about addressing key issues affecting Canadians and Sudbury residents. He advocates for eliminating the carbon tax, building new homes, addressing the federal budget, and tackling crime. Symington envisions a government under Pierre Poilievre that offers practical solutions and policies benefiting all Canadians, not just a select few in major cities.

“I’m excited to represent Sudbury and bring a common-sense voice to Ottawa. Canada deserves better. Sudbury deserves better.”
